Bio

Living within the open plains of Central Western NSW with striking and unique colour palettes in constant flux, provides stimulus for many of my artworks. I sense an often coexisting beauty, harshness and fragility within Australian landscapes that is visually and spiritually arresting. Vast spaces without human occupation or built structures effect an ethereal and enduring sense of continuation. Spending extended time periods in remote locations allows an immersion.

My landscape works attempt to represent and explain some of these personal responses to surroundings.

WIRES, the NSW Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service has been rescuing and caring for native animals for over 35 years. Our mission is to actively rehabilitate and preserve Australian wildlife and inspire others to do the same. We have over 3500 volunteers in 28 branches involved in the rescue and care of wildlife and a dedicated Rescue Office that operates 24/7, 365 days a year assisting the community to help native animals by providing advice and rescue for native animals in distress.
